How many stars are in the Milky Way, Galaxy's environment , Structure and formation of Milky Way

The Milky Way is a type of spiral galaxy within which our solar system exists. [ How big is Milky Way ] When you look up at the sky at night, you see a bright white light which is the Milky Way.

Due to the presence of many stars, it appears so bright and white. There are more than two hundred billion stars in the Milky Way. The stars found in the Milky Way are several billion years older than our Sun.

It is in the shape of a large whirlpool, which spins once in 200 million years. The galactic center is present in its medium. Due to the dense gas and dust clouds there, it is very difficult to see it. For this reason it has also been difficult to see the other side of its center.

How big is Milky Way

There are probably 100 to 400 billion stars in our galaxy, and it is about 100,000 light-years across. It seems huge, and it is,[Milky Way’s Structure] at least until we start comparing it to other galaxies. For example, our neighboring Andromeda galaxy is about 220,000 light-years wide. Another galaxy, IC 1101, extends 4 million light-years.

Milky Way’s Structure

When you look at the sky at night, you can see a broad white stripe, which is the Milky Way. These bands have been visible since the formation of the earth. The part of the Milky Way that we can see from Earth is considered to be its outer part. The Milky Way is surrounded by a halo of hot gases that spans several thousand million light years and keeps on rotating.

It spans 100,000 light years. It has two arms and two spurs. One of these spurs is named Orion spur, inside which our Sun sits. The names of both the arms of the Milky Way are Perseous and Saggitrus. This galaxy of ours keeps on expanding or expanding. In the middle of it is a black hole named Sagittarius A*.

The curved arm around the Galaxy is made up of clouds of dense gas and dust. New stars are always being formed in this arm. All these are being made inside a round disc. They are equal to 1000 light years.

The central part of the Milky Way is very protruding and, as mentioned earlier, this part is filled with dense gas and dust clouds – so we do not know at the moment what lies on the other side of it. This protruding part is also inhabited by a dark hole, which is several billion times more massive than the Sun.

Its formation started due to a small point, which grew further through the dense clouds and their form became fierce. Some studies have shown that the mass of the Milky Way is 400 billion to 780 billion more than the Sun. Scientists are engaged in researching how the Milky Way affects the structures found in the neighborhood, which stars are found, how many more solar systems exist, whether life on another planet is possible, and so on.
