List of fatal autoimmune diseases

Every person has an immune system in his body, it is also called immunity. The main function of the immune system is to protect the body from various types of infections and diseases. It is a process of cells present in the body, these cells are spread throughout the body.

The immune system constantly searches for any type of toxins, bacteria, viruses or any other foreign matter in the body. Without immunity, various types of harmful toxins or bacteria can enter our body.

However, there are some conditions due to which the immune system is not able to function properly. This condition is commonly called autoimmune disease. It is a serious and harmful condition and can even become a life-threatening condition in some cases.

Autoimmune definition

In autoimmune disease, our body’s immune system perceives a healthy part of the body as harmful, toxic or any foreign substance and as a result it starts to damage it. In this situation, the immune system of the body starts producing antibodies to destroy the healthy tissues of the body instead of infection.

When the immune system perceives that there is a toxin or bacteria in some part of the body, it starts producing autoantibodies as a reaction and sends them to destroy the cells or bacteria etc. present in the affected part.
