Ocean deepness

Pacific Ocean deepness of the world

The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world, the area of the Pacific Ocean: 166,240,000 sq km, “Prashant” means “calm” And, it is the deepest ocean with an average department of 4,200 miter.

Mariana Trench of the world in the Pacific Ocean, There is a major and very deep oceanic trough.

Ocean deepness of all the seas have been considered different. However, the mystery of the depths of the oceans is still intact. The depth of the sea is very cold, dark and sometimes due to high pressure, oxygen also decreases here.

The pressure felt on Earth is 1,000 times higher in the depths of the ocean. So much pressure that biochemistry also fails here. The truth of this pressure is that less than 1 percent of the habitats in the foothills of the sea have been discovered so far, where creatures and animals live.

1. Marina Trench

Mariana Trench is a major and very ocean deepness trough in the world. It is located 200 kilometers (124 mi) east of the Mariana Islands in the western Pacific Ocean. If Mount Everest is put in this trough to compare its depth, then the peak of that mountain will also be 1.6 kilometers (1 mi) below the sea level.

ocean deepness

The shape of the Mariana Trench is crescent-shaped, approximately 2,550 km (1,580 mi) long and 69 km (43 mi) wide. The maximum depth of the trough is a small valley in its southern part called the Challenger ocean deepness and is about 11,022 m (36,070 ft) below sea level.

2. Tonga Trench

The Tonga Trench is a sea pillar located in the southwest Pacific Ocean. It is the deepest trench in the Southern Hemisphere and the second deepest on Earth. The fastest plate tectonic velocity occurs on Earth as the Pacific plate is being deflected westward into the trench. The ocean deepness of Tonga Trench is 10,823 meters (35,508 ft).

3. Philippine Trench

Philippine Trench sometimes called Mindanao Trench, is a 1,320 km long oceanic trough located in the Philippine Sea part of the western Pacific Ocean. The width of this trough is about 30 km and its ocean deepness point is about 10,540 meters (34,580 ft) below sea level. It is the third lowest place on Earth.

4. Kuril Kamchatka Trench

There is a sea trench in the North Pacific Ocean. It is located on the southeastern coast of Kamchatka and covers the Kuril island chain to meet the Japan trench east of Hokkaido. It extends from an intersection with the Japan Trench in the southwest to a triple junction with the Ulkhan Fault and the Aleutian Trench near Russia’s Commander Island in the north-east. Kuril- Kamchatka Trench is the fourth largest deep sea in the world. Kuril Kamchatka Trench ocean deepness 10,047 meters (32,963 ft).

5. Kermadec Trench

Kermadec Trench, submarine trench in the floor of the South Pacific Ocean, about 750 mi (1,200 km) in length, forming the eastern boundary of the Kermadec Ridge. The two together comprise the southern half of the Tonga–Kermadec Arc, a structural feature completed to the north by the Tonga Trench and Ridge. The Kermadec Trench reaches a maximum ocean deepness of 9,990 meteres (32,775 ft)

6. Izu-Ogasawara Trench

The Izu-Ogasawara Trench is an extension of the Japan Trench. Here, the Pacific Plate is being hijacked under the Philippine Sea Plate, forming Izu Island and Bonin Island on the Izu-Bonin-Mariana arc system. It is 9,780 metres (32,086 ft) at its deepest.

7. Japan Trench

The Japan Trench part of the Pacific Ring of Fire off northeast Japan, Japan Trench is the seventh deepest sea, and is 9,000 meters (29,527 ft) at its deepest.

8. Puerto Rico Trench

The Puerto Rico Trench is located on the border between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The deepest part of the Puerto Rico Trench is just over 8,640 meters (28,346 ft).

9. South Sandwich Trench

South Sandwich Trench It lies between South America and Atlantic Ocean, the South Atlantic Ocean lying 100 kilometres (62 mi) to the east of the South Sandwich Islands. South Sandwich Trench is at a ocean deepness of 8,420 meters (27,624 ft).

10. Peru Chile Trench

Peru Chile Trench approximately 5,900 km (3,666 mi) long; It has an average width of 64 km (40 mi) and covers an extension of some 590,000 km2 (230,000 sq mi). Peru Chile Trench ocean deepness of 8,060 meters (26,443 ft).
